Reliable enough for a daily driver?

I'm thinking of buying either a GSX or GST convertible.. but I have heard of the issues with their reliability. Right now I have a civic and I want something that looks better and obviously performs better. It would be my daily driver, mainly in the summers, during the winter I am at school but will still drive it occasionally on weekends and breaks. I would be interested in modding it, probably not heavily but enough to give me some performance, which will obviously effect the reliability.
Thoughts?

Depending on how reliable you need your car to be it might not be the best idea. You have to maintain real meticulous care of these cars or they will mess you and your bank book up.

It will be nowhere near as reliable as your Civic. I wouldn't suggest getting one if that's what your looking for.

Sorry about the subforum thing, changed a lot since I last posted here.
Anyways, I'm looking for something faster than my civic, something turbo. But it will be my only car and my transportation to work, etc. So I can't get something that's going to be dying on me all the time.
And I know the GSX is only hardtop. It's either a GSX or GST convertible.

Really it depends on how you drive it, if you beat the hell out of it, it's going to break, and it's gonna break ALOT. But if you drive it like you love it, and take care of it it should last you a while. If you find one that has had an engine swap recently it should aslo prolong the life of the car.
