cooling fan (main) will not turn off

1992 Lumina Euro 3.1 sedan. My main cooling fan engages, but it will not turn off. Has run over 30 minutes after the car is off, so I disconnect the wires. Engine temp operating at normal temperatures. Temp gauge appears to read properly. The only things I can think of are the fan relay and the coolant sensor. But I would think if the coolant sensor was bad it would not turn on the fan to begin with.
Any ideas??

Relay is stuck...give it a good rap and it'll probably turn off...then replace it...

Thanks! Stupid question, but why am I having so much trouble finding the relay? I must have spend 45 minutes looking for it with no luck. Any suggestions?
