I have a 94 cougar with a v8,Problem is that i was driving one day to work, and the car was kinda sputtering a little so i thought that day i would change the plugs after work. so when i went out to start all it would do is turn over, but not start. So i left it there and went to get plugs,&wires.changed them. still just turn over. So i had the coil paks tested(2).All good there. Then the "ICM" all good. Now after 1.5 months it is still sitting at my job with 2 flats and no way to move it. I love this car and how it drove my exhausted on what it wrong or how to fix. Please help!!

Do you hear the fuel pump coming on when you turn the key?
Have you checked the fuel pressure and changed the fuel filter?

i do hear the fuel pump when i first turn it on. i feel i have done all the main things but who knows. i just drove it to work with no problems and come out to start it and nothing. just fueled it up too. some has said it could be the crankshaft sensor. but no idea where or what it looks like. or if that is even it??? thanks for the reply

Crankshaft Position Sensor
The crankshaft position sensor (CKP sensor) (6C315) is:
l A Variable Reluctance Sensor (VRS)
l Mounted near the crankshaft damper and pulley.
The crankshaft damper has a 36 minus 1 tooth wheel attached. When the data wheel rotates, the magnetic field (Reluctance) of the sensor will change in relationship to the teeth of the data wheel. This change with the magnetic field is called the CKP signal.
The wide space (minus 1 tooth) on the data wheel allows the ignition control module (ICM) (12K072) to determine:
l Base ignition timing.
l RPM information.
Base ignition timing is set at 10 degrees BTDC and is not adjustable.

Hey man, try to find the shrader valve on the fuel rail.when you locate it push the valve and see if any fuel is actually making it to the fuel rail but the key has to be on to build up pressure of course.if you find out you have pressure to the injectors maybe it isn't making it past the injectors, the pulse to make the injectors work actually comes from the throttle position sensor. You can also try spraying some starting fluid into the throttle body
