Hey guys

Im looking to upgrade a 99 alero 3400. Only Upgrade as of now is an out of engine bay cold air intake, which I absolutley love. The sound the extra hp etc :grinyes:

What information im looking for is should I get an performance ECU or a New performance exhaust? Which will yeild a better performance upgrade? Also any suggestions for either would be a great help. Thanks guys!

He is in the right area. His post was moved from the Alero subforum to N Body Performance to help facilitate a response which will be forthcoming.

biggustave, If I were you I'd go for the exhaust.
It really compliments the CAI and you should feel a differance.

You wont knowtice a big differance in anything with the PCM upgrade unless you hav more MODS. Like the exhaust, headers, 62mm TB, intake port & polish, etc. etc.

Heres a link to some 3.4 sites.
Parts For your CAR and RSM(Z-spec) hav alot of stuff for your Alero.
OEM Performance Parts (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=502706) it says Grand AM but it'll work for your 3.4 , enjoy.

Lets get this straight. So are you saying you were advising him to go to another automotive forum other than AF to find an answer?

Yes. Not every car forum on this site is populated with people...case in point, Toyota Landcruiser forum. Litered with unanswered threads, including a couple of my own. So I had to go find a different web forum to get help, which is exactly what i advised him to do if he didn't get his question answered on AF. Problem with that.

Bob might not but I do. Sometimes it takes a while before someone logs on to answer a thread or post. Most of the moderators and advisors look at as many forums as possible to try to answer questions from members. If you notice that the majority of the GM forums usually had very few unanswered threads. His thread had a reasonable answer within 24 hours of the post which is not bad as far as responses go. So next time be a little more patient before sending someone to another forum to find answers.

i can say i understand both sides cause there are 2 forums dedicated to the N body rides... none the less I would say your catback would be your next best bet for any performance noticability..

indyextremecustoms,

Are you an AF authorized vendor or advertiser? If so, who from AF Administration gave you permission to advertise or promote the web site shown in the link within your signature?
