98 3.8L Air Conditioning Problem

The Air conditioning in My wife's Intrigue stopped working this afternoon when she was on the way home from work. The climate control system AC button flashes the little green light when pressed and then the light goes out. Any idea what the problem could be?

possibly the A/C clutch

Mine did a similar thing. Raise the hood and confirm that the Air is ON.
Note if the compressor front end (the end with the belt) is turning.

Mine was just low on freon. DO NOT over fill the system.

It is recommended that the complete system be emptied and then correctly refilled. R134A
