Please can you help me with a problem relating to the timing set up of my car. The garage mechanic has removed the timing chain and I worry that the marks they made to reinstall it are lost. We therefore need advice on how to refit the timing chain and make sure the timing is correct.
If this is difficult to do on this forum then can you advise me where I can get this information. It would also be useful to know where I could access a repair manual on line free of charge for my car.
Thank you for your help.

autozone.com has repair guides available.

Schools and libraries subscribe to online data bases that can be accessed with a school ID or a library card number.

Schools (junior colleges) and libraries may have manuals available to copy.

Hello Maiki. Been a long time since I have spoken to you. Here is a picture of the timing chain and gears with the timing marks for you.

Hello there, thank you for your responses. I see the diagram given is for a single OHC. My version of the Taurus has a twin DOHC, being the V6 24 valve version. Could you give me a little more information about the 24V timing chain set up. Do I just apply the same rule to all four cams as shown by the single cam or is the procedure more complicated? I could not find the kind of detail I need from the site mentioned, Autozone, which has car manuals on line. It skips the part I need. Thank you.
