Lets just say my feet and arms are killing me from moving around and buffing  But it was so worth it. Took me around 4 hours but its finally done and she looks friggin beautiful! I cant believe it. Ill have pics tomorrow its too late now :licka: But i have a question about wax. How long were u supposed to let it dry? I just waxed the whole car and waited 5 minutes then starting buffing it off from where i started. Is that correct?

I used Meguiars Gold Class Wash, Meguiars Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner, Meguiars Deep Crystal Polish and Meguiars Gold Class Liquid Wax. Damn it took forever and i could pass out for hours right now im so tired. But shes so beautiful! Pics tomorrow! :licka:

dont let the car dry by itself.. it is not good.. you will get water spots all over.. as soon as you are done washing the car, get some dry towels and dry the car up all the way. after that when everywhere is completely dry, apply the wax and then use a soft cloth to take the wax off of the car then your ride is ready! easy!

l just waxed my stang today ( l was late so just did a cover up job but still turned out good.. l will post photos on off topic section now.

Im not talking about waiting to dry after washing! Thats stupid! The absorber sucked that all up. Im talking about the waxing. It says to let it dry..I did the car in stages..when i was done i waited 5 mins and dried from where i started..was i supposed to wait longer? Regardless it looks beautiful. The whole process was pretty easy just mostly time consuming..The hardest one was probably the paint cleaner. That was a BITCH to buff off. I thought i was gonna break my arm. But the thing worked great!! Took all these white scratches all off the front of the W68's. I was so mad how they were all there and was so happy when they all came off :D

oh! ok. just let it dry all the way.. when you touch it it should be like hard dust.. then you can use a soft towel and take the wax off of the car.

I didnt really let it dry too much :( I mean you could see that i wiped over it but i never touched it to see..Did i do it wrong? I mean from when i applied it on the roof down to the bottom of the car a half hour went by and then i waited 5 mins and dried from top to bottom..

Ive never seen my paint get such a nice deep red but still reflect beautifully. My paint looks so much better and it removed quite a few swirls and alot of white marks on the w68's with the paint cleaner :D

hey man, thanks for the comment but i have a question. Doodad said to let the wax dry so when u touch it it was like dust. I never felt it but could tell it wasnt really dusty. And i used liquid wax if that matters. Did i do it wrong? Am i gonna have to apply again to fully protect?

not sure about the liquid wax,, i usually let it dry for about 10-15 minutes

How often should i wax my car? I heard cleaner/polish/wax is a once a year job but you should wax regularly

hey dude.. sorry man l didnt know you used luqiud wax.. luqiud wax will not be like dust when it is dry.. with luquid wax, you dont have to even wait, just wax the car slowly and gentle, by the time you are finished the whole car, the area where you started is dry already, go and take a towel and start to take the wax off of the car. but if you would have used paste wax, then you would have to wait like 30 mins or maybe more.. l used to wait like 45+ mins, the ar was turning into white color and then l was going and takeing the wax off.

that is one good job man. cong.. that thing is so clean and sexy.. keep that way. also get some tires shine and shine the tires too.

about waxing, wax your car at the most once a month!

believe me it is not necessary to wax cars once a week. if the weather is ok, the car will still shine very good like 3 weeks or more.. if the weather is bad, you dont even have to wax the car because of the weather it wont last long.

once a month is good..

be carefl with the tire shine tho..dont make it too shiny, when i used it on my car all the tire shine stuff flew onto my body when i would drive.. and it would make the car look like crap... its probably cuz i used too much tho.

No man, you did it all wrong!!

You are supposed to wax the whole car then let it sit in the sun for an hour. Then try to rub the dried wax off!!

Sorry, just messin with ya!

Ya did fine!! I usually just start on one fender then let it dry until you can barely see it turn white, then rub off (don't wait too long or it will be harder to rub off). Also, DO NOT WAX OR WASH IN SUN OR IF PAINT IS HOT TO TOUCH!!! After you rub off the fender, apply to hood, and just keep going around the car. Some people do the whole car with liquid wax, I don't, it's just harder to get it off then. If your paint is faded, then you should leave it on longer.

As for tire dressing, I use Meguire's Tire Gel. You apply with a sponge that is shaped for the tire and it last for about a month and threw washes/rain. The best thing about it is that it's a gel, so it will not fling off on to your paint, and you will not get overspray onto your wheels because you use the sponge!! It's a little more than others but well worth it!!!!!!!!!! NO MESS!!!!
