I have a renault clio 1.2 16v (2001) and am looking to replace the standard stereo with a new one which i can connect my ipod to (it doesnt need a special ipod connection port just the line-in on the front for a 3.5mm headphone jack). Can anone suggest a good replacement? I am not too confident with the wiring and am not sure whether any stereo will be able to be wired easily to all 6 of the speakers in the car and if the radio controls by the steering will still work? Any help will be really appreciated

I recently replaced the stereo in my clio 1.4 to a SONY CDX-GT300 which i can recommend. It has the ipod feature you were looking for. When i replaced mine i lost the steering wheel controls. This can be avoided by getting an adaptor but they cost around £40-50 so i chose not to bother. All the wiring for the speakers will be found behind the exisiting stereo, linking up the speakers.
