why is it pulling to the left?

I have a Chevy truck and when i hit the break it pulles to the left and i hear sceeks when i hit the break what should i be checking for?:banghead:

I would say it's time for brake work. What is a "sceek"? Screech? Possible worn pads/shoes, possible metal-to-metal contact, but also could be other problems in the brake system, such as a master cylinder failure.

your disc brake pads have a metal tip that is bent to scratch against the rotor when your brake pad has worn to the point of needing replacement.
get new pads.
its better to replace both pads at the same time so if there are other problems, the wear of the pads can help judge what else is damaged/malfunctioning
