Cone headed? to increase the compression? You don't want super high compression because you will get detonation unless you have alcohol/h20 injection.

Never heard of "coneheads", but I think you looking for "pop-top" pistons(as some people call them).
Bore your cylinders in .0010" increments until all the scratches are removed. This is better left done by a machine shop..

I think hes talking about dome topped pistons and no, you dont want them. Just get some bastards with like 8.5:1 compression and you'll be good to go. I wouldnt go out by .001" at a time, I would just have them take it out .020 first, see if that fixed any of the problems. If not, got to .030 over. Then .040 if needed, other than that I dont think you can have them taken out any farther. Remember, there will probably be more problems than scratches like out-of-round so merely getting the scratches out may not and probably wont get all the problems fixed. Also, I know you could probably not be exactly .020" or .030" over or whatever and still make it work, but pistons only come in .020 over, .030 over, and .040 over so having a bore of +.035 wouldnt do you much good ;).
