rear end whine vibration

took my 03 in. gettin fixed. said they rebuild it. i get to pick here up tomorrow. any one else have this problem and gotton it fixed? i hear its common to get the rear end whine, curious if any one has had it return.
mines xlt 5.4 4x4 w/64k.

I didn't have the problem on my car, I drive a Taurus, but I worked at a Ford dealership until this January and we did rebuild a bunch of those rear ends for noises...we rebuild a bunch of all rear ends for noises it seemed. If the tech rebuilding the rear end shims it up right then the noise shouldn't return. There were some cases where carriers would warp causing excessive ring gear runout which makes a noise, but most technicans just replace the carrier as well anymore.
