its a good week from Revell. losta new stuff this week, and all are highly anticipated. the C6R and 2 of the 4 chopper kits Revell is going to produce. The choppers are 1:12 scale. and are 8" long when built. they also come with several different optional parts to build the kit.

BTW, I'm starting to notice something from Revell. every single box art car they have. seem to have the wheels badly out of allignment. the RSX and the Z06 have the same problem. notice the wheels on the C6R

Neat stuff; I'll be getting C6R and at least one of the choppers.
I don't know why Revell uses such crappy photographs; they can be easily manipulated to put the wheels where they belong. Perhaps they're a little too concerned with "truth in advertising"? They've often had bad boxart; especially on the easy/snap kits. Don't want Junior to think he can build a good model from in the box, so they show a really crappy one :shakehead

I totally agree, just like the new rsx. The boxart seems almost cartoony. Why doesn't someone from this forum work for revell and create models, Hmmm? Hopefully the c6r won't have fitment issues and maybe some nice gauge decals come with it. For The price you can't go wrong. Hopefully i can spot one at my LHS and see one built on the forum so i can get reference from it. As for the choppers, its a nice idea, something new. Like i said before don't be suprised if the fitment on the choppers is a little iffy? Either way ill probably feed my adiction by getting the red one.

Tom of Hobby Heaven usually gets those kits a week or so before the local hobby shops do. The distributors take a couple days longer. I would guess you'll see them in your LHS by weeks end or begining of next week for sure.

I always wondered why Revell chooses for scale 1/25 and not all 1/24 for cars.

Would anyone with PayPal be willing to pick me up a couple of these C6-Rs at a hobby lobby 50% sale and mail them to me in Poland?
There's no rush, but I'd love to try them out.
Thanks

I always wondered why Revell chooses for scale 1/25 and not all 1/24 for cars.
1:25 scale is the U.S. standard for model car kits. they've been done in that scale since the early 50's. don't know when 1:24 cars came along, Revell did some 1:24 scale cars in the late 70's early 80's with the 79 Camaro and the 71 HemiCuda. but that only lasted a few years as they only release American cars in 1:25 scale now
I believe this kit should've been 1:24 though, most race cars are 1:24, and in fact, Revell NASCAR kits are all 1:24 scale,

i always figured it was to do with the old metric vs imperial measurements.
