1998 Lincoln Cont

Hi am new to the forum just wanted to say hi and i have a question. I purchased my lincoln from a private owner and he was a big Wisconsin Bagders fan. So he has a red strip going all around the car and the orginal color of the car is white. What i need to know is how do i get that red strip off the car without damaging the original paint under the red stripe? Thanks

What's the stripe made of?
Plastic pinstriping can be slowly removed with a heat gun (hairdryer). If it's painted on, a chemical remover will also mess up the original finish.
