steering colum

hey guys i just bought a 96 f150 xlt 302 4 speed.the truck is in great condition runs perect but the steering colum is broken.the wheel sits low and can be moved up and down back and fourth about 4 to 5 inches.a pain while driving.ive changed a few of theese before but never in theese trucks.any hassles i should be ready for?
