Hey guys, my plans have changed a little, sadly. Basicly, I was gonna go all out and do the evo3 16g, 190, 550's, and DSMlink, but my dad told me if I ordered the turbo, he'd kick me out of the house lol. So, sadly none of that will happen any time soon.

Now, one of the people in my dsm club just upgraded his turbo and is selling his 14b. My question is what is the max boost and power I can run/expect out of bolting the 14b up with a stock 2g fuel system? Would it be worth the hassle to put it in even with a stock fuel system?

On a side note, I did just purchase some new wheels, since my front right rim was bent somehow - prolly from previous owner, and wobbled a little on the highway. So, stay tuned for some pics in the next week :grinyes:

14b is pretty, strong compared to when i had a t-25. only if your going to do the work yourself, if your going to pay someone to put it on, i dont think it is worth it. your stock fuel system can support it also.

My dad dont even know, what turbo is, any way what side wheel did you get ? Im still debate between 17 or 18, I have 18 on my 2 preview N/T, and I think it heavy for that car.

I got some 17x7's, so it will fit the tires I'm running now. As for weight, they are only 18lbs each, against the 2g gsx wheels weighing in at 25lbs each. I think they are gonna look real nice, and different. Haven't really seen any cars around me with bronze wheels.

when i had my 14b i was runing 18 lbs daily drivin and i ran low 12s with it. you already have an upgraded intercooler so you should be good to go in many ways.

you dont need bigger injectors for a while unless u are pushing about 350 hp just upgrade your fuel pump and your good to go

My buddy just hit 11.9 on his 14b. Before he got bigger injectors and afc, he was hitting 12's all day with the 450's(1g car).

A 14b would be a pretty nice upgrade over the t25. It has alot more top end then the t25 and wont fall on its face past 5k.

Oh yeah, those are some pretty sick ass rims! Post some pics when you get them on.

T25 maxes out around 22 lbs/min, 14b will do exactly 30 lbs. For a car with a typical setup it will hold 25 psi to redline on race gas. Pump gas, run whatever you can get away with without knock. Hopefully you still plan to go for DSMlink.

I ran mid 12s on a 14b on a sidemount and a full weight 2g. A race prepped 1g went mid 11s locally. Another guy ("project goodwill," I believe he has a website, google it) is in the 10s. No way the average Joe can expect to repeat those kind of numbers, but mid or low 12s is attainable with the right setup, good tuning, and even better driving. I just broke into the 12s on pump gas IIRC. The SMIC was a real show stopper.

Ya, I know the 14b is a much better turbo, I was just asking how far could I go with it on a stock fuel system. I decided not to get it though. Thanks for the replies.

one more thing can someone tell me if the oil lines will fit on the 14b? the 14b is water and oil cooled right? thanks

The 14b can do about 300 to the wheels max on a very well setup and tuned car, on race gas.

The oil feed line is different. The drain line is different, but the stocker can be modified. The water lines can be swapped and bent slightly. It's the same exact install as a 16g. Which works out well if you decide to do a EVO3 16g later on, spreads out the total cost a bit.

The stock 2g pump will suffice if rewired, and the injectors are enough as well. The 1g pump won't be enough, but the 450s at the lower base pressure are still ok.

TeamRedLine, use the edit button if you're going to have so many back to back replies. Thanks.

clipsekid, I think those wheels are going to look sick on your car. I've always loved bronze wheels but never had the chance to get any. Good choice.

Highly recomended you buy an Aeromotive AFPR with any rewired pump. From my exerience, 14b's and stock wired 2g pumps wont cut it. I hanv't looked at the logs in a long time but from my experiences the 2g pump just cant keep up with a 14b.., As kevin said will need to rewire it, which "CAN" and did over-run my stock fpr. You won't have a problem with 450'cc If you can lean the stock enrichment out above 2.1g/rev..
