slow start 1990 eagle talon

Have slow start condition (approx. 5 cranking sec.) on a 1990 talon tsi, Why?

do you check your battery lately ?

Crank speed and battery voltage is fine...car does start (takes about 5 seconds). I was thinking potential sensor problem?

can anyone think of anything?

Have you checked the obvious like fuel pressure with just the ignition on, then at startup, and at idle? I know this literally has NOTHING to do with cars, but we had a tractor on the farm that had a slow startup, and the problem was a weak fuel pump.

Definetly sounds like an ignition or fuel problem.
