What are the results of a 4 cylinder - vs 6 cylinder - vs 8 cylinder in a race? The catch is all cars have equal power - let's say 300 HP all naturally aspirated. All the HP is dynoes to be as close as possible, so weight reductions and engine modes (again no turbos, just a superchargers possibly for the 4 cylinder) are adjusted as even as possible across the board. All cars are automatics so all you gotta do is hit the gas (which all should have the same level of gas except the V6 or V8 to match weight with the 4 cylinder) which means no missed shifts or poort takeoffs.
Who would win? What the ET's would be? What the top speed would be? What the fuel comsumption would be? Etc Etc. Mainly I wonder is their a simulation program out there that could calculate this, or does someone know from personal experience?
Just curious....

If three cars, with equal weight, equal hp, equal torque, equal drive train set up, equal gears, eqaul EVERYTHING raced...then they would be dead even the entire race. Its also racing, so who cares about fuel consumption, its gonna suck for all three cars.
Top speed is limited by power, gearing, and aerodynamics. If the three cars all had the same power and gearing, then the one with the best aerodynamics would win.
