Got a weird problem. The temperature gauge and speedometer does not work. Fuel Gauge works fine, as does the cruise control. When a scanner is hooked up, it reads no response. Drives and shifts perfectly. Also the odometer/tripmeter does not count up while driving.
Figure its not the speed sensor cause the cruise works. Maybe cluster? Although fuel gauge works. Maybe pcm? Any ideas? Its a 3.0 engine.
Think it flashes code 55 with the mil lamp.
All help appreciated, thank you.

Try resetting the bcm . Go under the hood in the fuse and relay center above the battery and find the fuse labeled "IOD" near the top, pull that for a couple minutes and see if that helps . sometimes that will fix problems like this and sometimes not .

Well i had the whole box out an took it apart to see the connections. A bit of corrosion but all values with ohmmeter were ok. The battery was disconnected when I did this. Battery have to be hooked up when I try this reset? Also heard there was a cluster reset, something bout holding in buttons while turning key on or something? Any idea bout how to do this? Worth a shot.
