98 Grand Caravan front brake problem

I purchased a 98 Grand caravan 2 months ago with 80,000 miles, the brakes pulsed when applied, I replaced the front rotors and pads, yet still have the pulsing in the brake pedal. I wonder if this is a front wheel bearing problem as I now feel a vibration in the steering wheel.

It could be the anti-lock brake pump, if it's so equipped. Did you pull the codes? Sounds like the pump is coming on all the time.

Did you happen to check the rear brakes? At 80k they should be ready for replacement if not already done.

its also possible that eventhough the rotors are new they could be slightly warped.Did you get the cheap or more expensive ones? The cheap ones will warp faster and easier. And do you have drum or rotor in the rear?

also check for and play in the steering linkage and the suspension

I bought the best NAPA pads and rotors, and it has drums on the back. I checked the front suspension and it seems allright.
I do believe it might have something to do with the Anti-lock brakes as I now notice that it does not pulse the same everytime. I will check the code and keep it posted

I seem to have that same problem with my 2000 disc up front, drum in back, I was thinking about getting the rotors that have slots in them for cooling (holes in the rotors) has anyone used them? I want good brakes, and am looking for any help, thanks

I recently put EBC slotted rotors and EBC SUV extreme duty pads on the front of my '00 GC. The brakes feel a lot better and don't fade like the original. As the pads heat up they bite better. I have a turn that I have to make everyday, it is down hill and I have to go from 60 to 25 (mph) fairly quickly. I noticed that I have way more brakes as I approach the turn. I didn't realize how fast the stock brakes faded in that turn until I got brakes that don't fade.

Yesterday I held the parking brake release open and used the parking brake to slow the van to a stop.....I could feel a surge as the rear brakes were stopping the van. I am replacing the rear drums and shoes today. I should have thought of the rear brakes earlier but I have never experienced this problem with rear brakes before. Will the post results
