I wasn't driving this time, i was sitting in this dude's wrx sti, 03' i think, and so this guy in a teg, i wanna say 94'-95', was gonna run. hehe glad i had the cam. they go from a 50ish roll, and the teg blows the doors off the sti, well not really he beat him by like 3 cars. that teg was sooo loud. hurt's mah eyes thinking about it. :eek:

A teg? Oh ya, by the way, sti's only have what....240ish to the wheels, so a stock or barely modified one isn't something that will do much damage.

^but still.......you dont see tegs blowing doors off sti's everyday nor see them hang with them, wow, that must be one modified teg, probably spraying too i'm guessing, and im betting what you heard was vtec if it was that loud, so im guessing a b18c1 or b18c5, around here we see tegs doing mid 14s n/a

Dude Ive seen stock 350Zs pull 2 cars on stock STIs. From a roll they arent much of a threat. Its that AWD 6Krpm launch from a dead stop that gives them any kind of edge.

I've never raced an STi from a roll or a dig for that matter. From what i've seen at the track they're not anything to worry about stock. When they are modded they are dangerous though.

Dunno why they claim a 13.3 sec. 1/4 mile time stock. From what i've seen they are a high 13 sec. car, and that's with a decent 60' (1.9 sec.).

sry it took so long, when the guy shifted, the car kinda jumped, so there may be some bad angles, but this my first time recording a race to bear with me :lol:

Damn a DA, that thing will suprise a lot of people out there. I love oldschool japanese cars, the celica supras, datsun Z's, AE86's, even first gen civics. Nice race

i felt like i was gonna go deaf when it first opened up, adrenaline was rushing like crazy, couldn't stand straight lol.

It didn't even sound like the STi was on it to me.

vtec + cutout= loud.....that reminds me of my first gen days when I used to run around with a cutout.....

The second vid sounded more like both cars were on it. That Acura must have quite a few mods. I'm assuming it has some form of weight reduction. He may have nitrous to boot. A stock one wouldn't see anything but taillights of an STi.

that Teg had quite a few mods on there thats for sure but I gotta give that teg some props cause it hauled ass.

the teg didnt blow the doors off the STI but it was def a steady walk,, pretty surprising tho just lookin at the cars i'd have put my $$ on the STI. teg sounded pretty healthy, and a loss like that'll just make you wanna throw some more money into mods :evillol:

Yeah, the STi is designed from a rally car and it has pretty short gearing. From a dig they are mean, but from a roll they just don't have nearly as much of a chance. At around 80, it becomes very aparent.

I pulled steadily on a 350z from a 30 roll with my stock STI. Also got pulled on very slowly by a modified Mach1, from a 40 roll. So from a roll the STI is not as bad as everyone says, it should certainly destroy an integra. That was one bad ass integra.

That was a 91-93 integra... looked like a cf hood. Probably had some goodies under it...

You shouldn't race cars like that. He's going to go to all his ricer buddies now saying he has the fasterestist car ever since he beat an sti with his vtec and gutted interior.
