I just ordered an '06 civic lx...I should be receiving in sometime in september. I was wondering how they are power wise. Do they got some power behind them. Also, what kind of mods have been made for these so far...exterior, interior, motor, suspension...everything.

You name it they got it for 8th gen. Dont worry so much about performance as you should about looks. You have a very sexy car which has great potential exterior interior wise. Working on that engine will only lead to you wishing you had bought an SI. TRUST ME I have owned a 7th gen EX and got so fustrated trying to make it fast that I eventually went out and bought a fast car so I could compete on the track. Good Luck!!

The `06 LX makes 140 HP, which is a huge improvement over the 7th gen 115-ish HP. Now, it won't have racecar like acelleration, but with such a light chassis, 140 HP will get that thing up to speed pretty damn quick (for a stock Civic at least).

With how much torque 128 pounds? The 8th gen has increased 5% in weight as well. This car is far from being "quick". Once again it comes down to price and what your looking for. A car enthusiest eager to speed around and race should not purchase a trim level below an SI. EX, LX etc. are not made for speed this has always been Hondas way.
