i have a 1990 s15 jiimy and the A/C electrical connection has been broken. there are two wires that have a plastic connector which connects to a blue plastic connector on the a/c clutch.well the blu plastic thing has broken across the middle. i was told by the previous owner that the A/c worked fine before he noticed that. can i fix the problem and not take the clutch off? should i just buy a new clutch? will my A/C have to be recharged? How big of a job is it to replace the connector, or the clutch?

If you have the proper clutch remover tools you can pull the clutch and pulley.
The coil in inside them.
No need to discharge system.
On some it helps to unbolt compressor and sit it up right to work on it.

I've had that connector break on me when the serpentine belt snapped. Just make sure you buy a good clutch removal tool because the one I bought at Pep Boys wasn't strong enough to press it back on. I ended up having to pay them $50 to install the new clutch coil...and yes, I got my money back on the crappy tool. Good luck!
