blowing fuses and needing jumpstarts

ok guys, ive needed 4 jumpstarts in 2 days, the battery shouldn't be more than a year old. After topping up my recovery tank for DEX, is when my volt meter started showing me that batt is losing power, normally it would be around 14v with most accessories on, now maybe 12v with headlamps only. After the most recent jump, i believe fuse 19 keeps blowing (radio). I cannot get a fuse in before it blows.

check your grounds, also might want to pull the radioaway from the dash hole and check the wires. if you have an after market radio, check the fuse on the back of the radio, as that might be blown, causing the fuse on the fuse box to blow out.

check the voltage going into and coming out of the 19 fuse hole. make sure your grounds are good, especially the one by the battery.

check the voltage going into and coming out of the 19 fuse hole. make sure your grounds are good, especially the one by the battery.my only guess is that there is a very tiny bit of corossion by the side post where my wires to my amp goto. got blinkers back while headed to work (that one is strange). got a fuse to finally work in the #19, so i have a speedometer, radio, and gagues (sp?!).hopefully things will work out tomorrow.

Something may be staying powered on that should not be with ign off, or shorting out slightly if it is meant to be on with ign off.

Maybe try switching radio power to the switched connection at fuse panel, so power gets disabled with key off. If it doesn't, maybe short in ign switch ?

radio shuts of when the door opens. when I was driving home from work tonight, voltmeter was about 9, i had to rev the engine to keep volts up. when ever they dropped, all lights and gauges would reset. about a mile down the road, it was somewhat normal. probably gonna head to my parents before work, where i have a garage to work try to see whats up. this is really making me mad. ive got a feeling that its my alt. but Pa thinks its the battery.

Sounds liike the voltage reg in your alt is shot... Replace the alt and the rest should be fine.
