whisper lid?

Im gonna be installing my SLP CAI next week..If i have that is it worth getting the whisper lid? What will i notice? Thanks

No idea on a v6, but on my 98 pre-FI days, a lid was good for 10rwhp. What I did on my Z28 is take the stock lid off and cut out all the baffles. Dave(buddy of mine who helped out...was his tools) and I...our But-o-meters said it was worth it but I haven't been able to get to the track/dyno to verify it.

I don't think you can run a lid and a CAI.

why not? Im pretty sure you can. The lid just removes the baffles for even better air flow. Ive seen v6's with lids and cai's

I think the CAI is like the SLP cold air kit that fits infront of your radiator and scoops up air from the bottom towards your air filter/lid. I might be mistaken though.

in a 98 LS1 6 speed, I gained 10rwhp just with the lid. I'd say no. But its how much do you want to spend on a v6? Its all up to you. Good luck.
