hi all

I just received this model and went over the instruction for the colors that are needed and I'm a little pazeled.

the body on the pic has three colors: white, blue and light blue.
I think they mixed the shades of blue.
the insturctions show to use x-14 (sky blue) for the darker blue and for the light blue they say to mix x-14 + x-2 (7:1).

can this be right?

also if anyone built this model and used spray colors for the body please tell me what you used.

The instructions are correct, X2 is white, so mixing that with X14 will lighten the shade.

If you paint this one well it is a stunning looking livery..

I think Tamiya TS 10 French Blue spray is a close match to X14 Sky Blue and TS 26 Pure white matches the X2 white if you prefer to spray with the aerosols. You can decant the white and mix it with the blue to give you the lighter blue and spray the colours via an airbrush for more control if you prefer.I remember building this kit for a friend ages ago and recall the colour scheme was a bit of a bitch to do.Good luck with it.
