2001 grand am split rear seats

To some this may seem like a stupid question, but I've had a 2001 grand am se 4dr for about a year. From the trunk, it seems like it has a 60/40 split seat in the rear, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to fold it down. Does it actually fold down or is this just the design of the seat, and if so how do I fold it down? Any help would be appretiated. Thanx

Welcome to AF matssoupman .
The rear seat is a PITA to lay down.
If you look inside your trunk, up toward the rear deck(where the speakers are mounted) you will see two black straps, nylon i think, just pull the side you want down and kinda push on the seat back at the same time.
Should pop loose and fold down.
Its great, I like these seats because I can get a 6' ladder in the trunk/back seat of my GA, or a bunch of 2x4's.
