I have a '99 chevy lumina LTZ. The reason I'm posting my question in the monte forum is because my car has the same rear end as the late 90's montes. Anyway, my question is: what works best to keep the black part of the rear (where it says "Monte Carlo" or "Lumina") clean and shiny? I've tried using protectants (armor all, etc) but they seem to leave it streaky. Are there any alternatives? Wax??

Regular old Lumis are painted body-color in that area (or, at least they were before they started peeling), whereas the Montes were painted black. I'd suggest your favorite, non-abrasive wax.

Lumina LTZ's are also blacked out in that area (like monte's) (unlike the base and LS luminas). Is wax still a good choice for me??
