I've heard of a few f-body owners that rigged a corvette rear in our cars. Supposedly its alot of work but I bet the handling improvement is dramatic.

I wonder how much there going 2 ask for the conversion , but that would be sweet a fourth gen with IRS. I would so want that conversion.

It's always been 2 axles and the rear end. Which vettes have IRS though? Starting what year, does anyone know?

I am pretty sure 3rd gens to date all have IRS in vettes but know for a fact that C4-C6's do. Also when two axles are connected in the center differential so as to joined. They are basically working as one. Thats why its called a solid rear axle.

actually the first year for IRS in corvettes was 1963 (i think).

as I understood, I thought they all had IRS... but I could be wrong, but I definately know the C2 did have IRS
