ok so last week i had a paxton novi-1000 installed on my 1993 mustang 5.0, and ever since i got it installed my car has been having trouble starting, like it will crank but it will not start but if i check it 5 hours later it might start up, today i missed work because my f^**#!% car wouldnt start and its really starting to piss me off and i have no idea what it could be, i brought it back to the place that installed it but when i brought it back it was runing fine but its craps out alot, any1 know how to fix this or what the problem can be?

Sounds like it could be the TFI module that is mounted on the dizzy. What kinda distributor do you have?

Very well could be the TFI. Try it out, it's not that expensive. Just make sure you grease it per the instructions. Take a look.

why would it be the tfi wouldnt it be something related to the supercharger, i also had a 255 lph fuel pump installed too, could there be something wrong with the fuel pump and im not getting enough fuel?

TFI's are often associated with intermittent starting problems. Adding a supercharger will create more heat, and the TFI doesn't like excessive heat, esp if it's original. Also, I'm going to assume the installer of the supercharger retarded your timing, and doing so, along with the heat of the SC may have caused an issue to a weak TFI.
Now if you think it's fuel related, I would hope you have a fuel pressure regulator and gauge mounted somewhere since you have added a supercharger. Check FP at start up and while running to varify weak or insufficent flow.

Any local parts store should have it. The local shops here (well 2 of them) didnt know what I was talking about until I called it an "ignition module for a Ford". They didnt know what a TFI was. Just a heads up, but yes any local parts store should have them in stock.

Did you pull out the dizzy? Could the timing be off a tooth? Also did you greese the TFI before install? $60 is damn expensive for a TFI, is it gold plated? Where are you located anyway?
