So I'm buying more junk.. wanna know which type of putty to get..
Just want it to fill in some joint lines between parts and stuff... nothing crazy like making body kits etc..
Tamiya has like a couple putties.
There's a Basic Gray one and one that just says putty... any diff?

Eventually, you'll want to get a hold of both. So which one do you want first? What do you expect to need it for next? ;)

some questions what exactly is this Mr. Surfacer 500? how much does it cost? and where can i get it?It's like liquid putty, but thicker than primer. I dunno; a couple bucks. My local store has it; i dunno where you'll get some...

I have the Tamiya grey "toothpaste" putty and Mr. Surfacer 500, and I end up using them together a lot. If you've already got the 1000, just get the putty. Then, you can use the putty for big chunks, and Mr. Surfacer to smooth it out...

just use some "squadron white putty" but you cant use too much cause it'll eat away at the plastic.

hmm ic
i got some testors crap here..
so wuts a good way to use this? i'm joining 2 halves of the seats together and i want to make it look like it's once piece
it was a bit extruded so i sanded down the extrusions a bit..
do i just slap on some putty where the line is and wait for it to dry and sand it?

do i just slap on some putty where the line is and wait for it to dry and sand it? That's pretty much it... Use sparing ly at first, in case of a reaction with the plastic. Some putties have Toluene and will melt styrene plastic...

If the seam is not deep or wide, you can use super glue as putty. Just apply small amount of super glue with a tooth pick or something, and wait until it hardens. Then sand and smooth like putty. It's a lot quicker.

It's a lot quicker. I used CA before to fill a panel groove, but the CA was so dense that I ended up sanding away a ton of the surrounding plastic by the time I got the ridge to sit flush again...
