Alright, my girlfriends cat chewed up my moniter wire(the one that hooks up to the computer). So i have a sort of pinkish screen now. the wire seems as if it is hardwire to the moniter, can't just unplug it. Is there any way to fix this or am i stuck buying a new monitor? any help would be very appreciated.

If your keen, you can rewire them.
Altough the wires are very small, and very thin, if your careful with some solder, and little electrical tape you can rejoin the wires where the cat chewed them.

Sell the cat. Use the money to buy a new monitor.

First, shoot the cat. JK!!!!!!!!!!!!! No, like Moppie stated, if ya really confident of soldering skills, the monitor can be resurrected. Either way, ya have nada to lose. But, i suggest, seriously, take it to local computer shop, they seem all around now, or contact the manuf. for help. The cord can be repaired, but it may be above the average dude.

cool, thanks for all the advice. i'll probably try to sodder the wire and if that fails i guess it's time for a new monitor. as for the cat i think my girl would leave me if i got rid of it.

Sell the cat. Use the money to buy a new monitor. that was awesome.

BTW, i've tried to just 'rejoin' wires on monitors before and it doesn't work very well.
