what does everyone else use in there trucks? i got a 03 with 5.4 and 65k. always had the 5-20 the book calls for. but with higher miles is it time for a bump up? my crown vic has 4.6 150k and ive always use valvoline max life 10-30 and that car you would never know it has that many miles on it. but curious what everyone else uses.

I've used Mobil 1 10-30 since I got my 1998. It had 60K miles on it when I bought it. Now it's just about 98K.

Depends where you live, and how many miles. 10-40 for high miles but drop to 5-30 in the winter. I live in DC. Have never had problems. Like clockwise every 3k oil and filter change.

I would use 10W30 I had a 1997 F-150 with a 5.4L and using 5W30 it wouldn't get any oil pressure until it was running at 750 rpm for about 30 seconds. I changed oil at 1000 miles then at 4000 miles I switched to heaver oil as I was afraid of losing the engine. It made it to 98000 miles and never used any oil but I totaled the truck.
