Help please!

Sup guys
3100 V6
Was running fine. Ran a quick errand, came back to the car put the key in...all lights and radio and everything came on...turned key...nothing. The car wouldn't start. Got under the hood, jumped the starter, ran for 5 seconds (it turned over fast) and was running smooth...then died. Checked all fuses, I have gas, checked the key chip thingy...the security light is flashing...used wd40 on the key and contacts...nothing...any suggestions?
Could it be my key!?

Welcome to AF, if the security lite is flashing you are locked out by the VATS. Try another key, if none or it doesn't work, a good chance the ign key switch is bad, the wires break from the cylinder, do a site search for VATS bypass.
