I had to jump on the brakes hard one night to miss a deer, ever since then I have a soft feel on the brake pedal. I changed the brake booster, to get rid of the whoosing sound, but that did not cure the pedal feel. Any Ideas? Thanks

how did you replace the booster. I thought it was hydraulic boost from the power steering pump. any way I got soft brakes too and no one seems able to fix it. I blew a gront brake line and since it got replaced I have had it in 3 different brake shops and they cant get my truck to have good brakes like it use to

I believe the K2500's had the hydraulic brake booster. 2ndly, there is a TSB for brake proportioning valve replacement 96-99. Helps engage the rear brakes a tad quicker resulting in less nose dive and a firmer pedal.

About 20-45 minutes to replace, depends how rusty the brake lines are.
Then Just need to do a brake bleed job.
