Congrats shes a beauty. For a Ford ;) I dont really care for the interior or the back end apperance of any of the new stangs personally, but thats all cosmedics. The interiors on em remind me of the jetsons for some reason>?? Cant argue with the performance they offer though thats one hell of a car you got some braggin rights for sure. Whats the sticker($) on it hmm>? Throw up some stats for us, brag about it more, maybe you will get some ford haters banned or somthing lol...Really tho thats a Beauty and i like the color you went with. Try not to destoy it or let a bunch of buttheads with soda pop and cigarettes kill your interior. Remember every day makes it worth less than what you payed for it. So get your money back in the entertainment it will bring you.

:iagree:
I dont really like the new look of the new "retro" mustangs. I dont like the back of them.I REALLY like the interior..looks very nice with all the chrome..although that e-brake is funny looking:p Good job on getting the leather seats! I love them in my bird. The car is beautiful but not as beautiful as a t/a :p I really like those rims! They remide me of lous's rims. Congrats on the new ride and i hope you enjoy it! Take care of her :)
EDIT: I wonder what people think when they drive by and see a bird next to a stang :p ...Your formula is pissed :p

For what he payed for it and what the sticker price prolly is, he could turn over and sell it right now for less than what its worth and still make out like a bandit. Find sombody to buy it from you for $23,500 cash, and buy whatever the hell you want with the cash.

Wow, sweet car. Now you gotta sell the TA.
I'm sure it's more powerful then the LT1, but I don't think it's as stout as the LS1. I do love the styling of the car, and the interior looks flawless. Hope you got a good deal on it.

Just read where you got it for $21K. That's a great price. I don't think you did anything wrong. My personal advise is to fix and sell the T/A now.

Nice car, looks good and has so much potential for customizing ... I know your not ready to start that now, but here's some ideas I came up with while checking out your pics ...
- bullet style rims (dark gray or black on the spokes) (yours could be painted that way!)
- GT emblems painted on under the clear coat in same color as the rims
- Have GT either stiched or iron-on emblems put on the head rest. (same color as paint)
- Stripes of some sort, that car has great lines, a good paint guy can put some awesome lines on there for you.
- Powder coat the calipers black or silver (depending on wheels)
- im sure its calling for flowmasters with a little bigger chrome tips
I know your not going to do anything to it now, but I just wanted to give you some suggestions if your planning on keeping it around. It looks awesome with black & gray, my suggestion is keep going with the black, just a little bit more.

if you start changing up the stang's appearance or do any performance mods then it will most likely lose at least some portion of its resale value,, just somthin to keep in mind.

I would sell the Mustang while its worth somthing. They are making so many of em that its never going to have any resale value if its driven and a bunch of miles are put on it. The way ford is selling them, Pretty soon its going to be like the movie " Cat in the Hat", where everybody is driving the same dang car. As it sits its already a 1 owner used car now. The "buy me red, buy me black" may have already hurt the resale some, even though i would have went with the same color probably. If he could find a buyer with 23-27k cash money he could pay it off and stash the cash for whatever he wanted. Might even be able to find a car lot with the LS1 he was after before the Mustang came into play, who would swap em' straight up, and pay off the bill. 27,000 dollars will afford a car that would make him forget all about the Mustang..just my opinion. Heck he could even swap it in somwhere for a brand new GTO. Never know though he could like the Mustang more than the thought of driving around an LS1 6 speed.
That Mustang is a very nice car, im not trying to knock it but ive seen a lot of those 4.6's roll off the dealership lot already burning oil. They are a dang good motor but they have a nasty habit of burning oil. and its not just the SOHC motors that do it. They may have fixed the problem or the configuration may be a little different this year, but i couldnt count all the cars ive seen with a 4.6 in them that leave a cloud behind them when they are put to the floor. Especially the Lincoln Towncars. My crown vic for instance, doesnt leak a drop but darn it, i get sick of checking the oil and finding it low. It doesnt lose oil too bad considering it has almost 170,000 miles, but i just hate the thought of sombody behind me seeing any smoke and thinking "what a Piece of crap".
Hes gonna prolly keep it and sell his Firebird. wich is cool too like i said its a very nice car but if its not what you really want why end up spending all that money when your heart is set on somthing else. Especially when by the time its payed off its will be worth way less than what you have agreed to give for it. Do you go to the store and buy a pair of jeans that "arent you"?
Check out the dark blue LS1 WS6 for $18,000 they got up for bids on ebay. hubba hubba. "wish i had a 6 speed"! A guy offered the owner a $64,000 Cadillac Seville STS for it and he refused it.

I'm mostly a 5.0 guy but, I've never heard anything about the 4.6 burning or leaking oil, unless they have a ton of miles on them anyway. I know quite a few people with a 4.6 Stang and never heard anything but good things. Except that there is less room to work on them compared to the good ole 5.0. The bottom end of those things (I hate to say this) are stronger than the 5.0. I know you mentioned that the 4.6 is good aswell, so I know your not doggin it.
Another thing, I know Ford made tons of 4.6 Stangs and with me knowing about 10 people with one, that doesn't mean that the other millions of Mustangs are the same way. But, I think it's a good average.

Yo doodad, its harder to shift 2-3 if you have a short throw shifter..especially if youre used to the wider one already.. when i first got mine, i used to go from 2-5 >_< , yeah its faster shifts..but its a little scary when youre not sure what gear your slamming it into..
the new GT is a 6 speed right? cuz if its a 5 i take it all back, it gets so much easier to drive a 5..

This section appears slower right now, you need to check the subforums. There is posting going on in there!
I do have some sticky tires coming this week, along with a Moser 9" with 4.11 gears.
Couple other little things as well.
September 1st I will be racing at Cordova. I hope. Kinda looking like I might have to drive the car out there...950 miles. :icon16:

Sounds great!! I would go but, I am saving vacation time for the week of my daughter's birthday. I only have 4 days left. Plus, I don't have anything to race (STILL WITHOUT A MUSTANG!!), however, I could race my Taurus. It has 200hp/200tq. I know, I know, shutup, I know, it's a Taurus, but hell if some punk with a Honda that's pushing 150hp can race, so can I. I think I may be looking for another horse soon though, hopefully, if everything goes right!!
Get some vids. for us Luos!!!!!! I love the editing you do with Disturbed but, I would love to hear what your car sounds like at the track! So please if you can, let us hear it also. The drive in the T/A would be fun but, then you're putting on all those miles and what if you break at the track?! No truck/trailer, 900 miles away from home. I would get a truck/trailer. Better safe than sorry. GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN, AND BE SAFE!!

Since I grew up in the days of the early Mustangs, I loved the retro look the minute it was released. I'd love to pick up the convertible. For now my cash is going for my 78 T/A, plus the new kitchen, the golf club, etc, etc. So many toys, so little time,

I'M GLAD SOMEONE IN HERE HAS SOME SENSE!!
Good job Erdal!! You got the ORIGINAL pony car!! By the way guys....can you tell me where I can get a good deal on a 05 Camaro/TransAm? Oh yeah, I forgot, they don't make them anymore.
SORRY GUYS, JUST GIVIN YA CRAP. I love the T/A & Z's almost as much as the Mustang....kind of.
So are you going to sell the Bird, Erdal?
Where are you in Illinois? I'm in Bloomington.
Let me know where you can find a 06 Mustang GT that can hang with my stock Z28 A4/273 car. I have yet to find a near stock GT around here that can. :screwy: Oh..and my Z is 5 years old too. Ford is still playing catch up. :p
On a more serious note though...nice car, looks really good. Take it from someone who owns 2 LS1s....both your cars are going to be fun, I wouldn't get rid of the bird. Oh, and before I forget. Thanks for the pic of the back end...I haven't seen that side of the Mustangs yet.

Except that there is less room to work on them compared to the good ole 5.0. The bottom end of those things (I hate to say this) are stronger than the 5.0. I know you mentioned that the 4.6 is good aswell, so I know your not doggin it.
How is a bottom end with hyper-pathetic pistons stronger then a bottom end with forged pistons?(pre 93 cars). This I want to hear. Block only maybe...but not components.
