Stall problem

Hi, I've got a '99 civic that likes to stall on me in the mornings, a little after I turn the car on. After a few minutes, it stalls on me. Doesn't sputter, and then won't start for a little while, unless you leave it be for a minute.

When you do leave it alone for a couple of minutes, it starts right back up, what i'm thinking the problem is-

water in the gas tank (put appropriate amount of dry gas in tonight actually, leat it run for a little, seems fine, but will check in the morning)

clogged gas filter
filter might be clogging, but not clogging fully, enough to shut the car off automatically at any point

thermostat, something to do with temperature, car does warm up eventually, even to the point where the fan kicks on, and still runs normal, no sputtering or anything, but just stalls when car is first warming up

it doesnt seem like anything electrical, or the gas pump, battery and alternator put out fine, but haven't tested it on a voltometer

but the car does shut itself off, and something is telling it to shut off, could be any of the sensors as well

sorry for the long explanation, but im hopeing a fellow honda owner may have expirenced the same problem, because the car is at about its second checkup mileage (at about 87,000)

Check the distributor cap to see if there's any water leaking in there. Water can condense inside the cap & on the electrodes if the gasket is bad. Once the engine warms up, the water evaporates.

Usually fuel filters give problems at high rpm (when fuel flow is at a maximum), not when the car is idiling. But do check for leaking gasoline in the engine, or a gas smell after the car stalls. One of your injectors could be leaking.
