Caliper bolts...

Went to put on my Brembo rotors and Axxis metal-master pads this weekend, but ran into 2 problems... First, on the passenger side, I was able to get my caliper off and install the pads, but then I totally stripped out one of the screws for the rotor. Guess I'll have to hit the junk-yard or something for a replacement...
Then, on the drivers side, I couldn't get the lower caliper bolt off... Even with a breaker bar, some liquid wrench, and two people wrenching on it...
Any ideas on how to get this bitch off?!

first those rotor bolts arent really needed, all it does is hold the rotor on and your wheel does it just fine. i got a set of 4 screws at napa for like $3 so its cheap. the previous owner of my car stripped my rotor bolt beyond imagination, it doesnt even look like a screw anymore.
with the caliper, get your breaker and put a long pipe on teh breaker and use it as leverage. i know hwat your gonna say it wont fit cause it will be too long, but all you gotta do is move the breaker about an inch or so and the bolt will come loose with the breaker after

Rotor Bolts? Don't you mean screws? You are supposed to use an Impact Driver to remove those as the force of it's impact prevents it from slipping and stripping screws, plus it makes getting rusted ones off easy.
As for the bolts that hold the caliper bracket I sprayed mine down with PB Blaster and then took my longest Socket Wrenc and put my jack handle over it and got extra leverage, it was a bitch to get off but it came off.
Whenever I put things back together now I soak it in WD40 and then Torque it down to spec to make sure it's never on too tight.

Is an impact driver an air tool? Or is it something you actually hit with a hammer or something?

yeah yeah i said bolts but i meant screws, my bad.
when i was working on my friends car, i hadnt gotten my air tools yet, but lucky i just them about a month ago, what i did was get one of those kind of screw driver battery drill bits, the kind with a screw driver head and a 6 sided end so i could put a socket on it. i got 2 from walmart so it easy to get if you know what i talking about. i used a philps head #3. first i put the bit on the screw and i tapped it lightly with a hammer so it fit good, then i put a socket on the bit, then got adapters and i put my breaker on it and took it off. if you go slowly and push hard on it then it will work. and it worked without any type of stripping on the screw.
an impact is an air tool but i have heard of electirc impacts but they are not as good a air tools

i love air tools, my air ratchet has a crack in the bottom and it lets out air and water sometimes when i forget to drain the tank.......it still works thank god it makes things so much easier

Yeah, you hit it with a hammer and it turns the fastener as the driver is being jammed into it from the blow (on or off). They can be had at Sears. Very good thing to have for getting damaged or stuck screws out. It's what you're suppose to use on those screws. I've had mine on and off a bunch of times and as long as you stick to they impact dirver they'll not get damaged.
