Bose radio display out

I did something stupid, jumped another vehicle and connected the cables to the fuse box, not the battery. No big deal, blew out the 125 amp large fuse on the outside of the block. Replaced that, everything works except my Bose radio dispaly. The radio works, all the buttons etc. including the steering wheel buttons. Checked the manual to see if there is a fuse for the display, can't find one. Any ideas?

Did you check the fuses near the BCM under the rear seat? Something may have blown there. These trucks do have super sensative electronics. Even if you accidentally arc a metallic tool across the battery terminal, something will blow. :uhoh:

I did check that fuse block, nothing in the manual indicates "radio or clock display" fuse, checked most of the other ones, nothing appears to be blown. I am thinking there maybe an inline fuse coming off the radio itself?

Still have not figured out this one. Any ideas?

I had to go to the dealer, they had one in stock. Also as an update, I was able to warranty out the old radio, they replaced it with no questions asked.

I did the exact same friggin thing this morning. I just bought the #48 125 fuse at the dealership. Did any of you guys install the new fuse yourselves? Seems easy ehough. Any suggestions?

If I remember correctly it is attached with two nuts. Just make sure you disconnect the hot coming from the battery before proceeding (rather obvious, but I wouldn't have had any problems in the first place if I has been thinking!).

Replaced the fuse and everything is back in order. The Bose stereo display included. Thanks for the feedback and info. Saved me a lot of hassle.
