 Wow!!! The car on it's own is brilliant, but with the diorama it really is awesome.

It seems the pictures are to big and cousing bandwith problems on my home page. I will try and solve this problem

I may have to reduce the quality of the pictures.

I have no IDEA about this bandwith thingy can someone EXPLAIN this to me, I thought I have 20megs of free space with my angelfire account....!!!!
Any hoo I replaced the pics with ones of a little lower quality we just have to wait.... I can possibly go to those online picture servers.....

ehm *entering Geek Mode*

Bandwidth is not the space the give you...it's the amount of "traffic" they allow you to have. When ever you or someone else views something on yoru page, it takes up "memory" on their servers, bandwidth costs money...alot of money, and since Angel Fire is free, they limit you to an insanely small amount...and with a bunch of people looking at a 200k document or image, it can be exceeded really quickly

Bandwidth is the amount of times information is transfered from your site. Basically too many people checking it out at once. Geocities, Angelfire, and a few other places have limits on it and close the site for about 2-3 hours.

Well done I like it a lot the diorama is excellent!!
But what beats me is how the 'Network Q Rally of Great Britain' NEVER leaves Wales?? Surely it ought to be renamed 'Rally of Wales'!!
But seriously damn fine piece of modelling you've done there!!

Wow thats excellent, as someone said the car alone is great, a very impressive weathering job. I like your style, coz if i remember correctly, you said you havent made many models but you get stuck into the tricky stuff straight away, i like that.

A few comments though - It looks like you have had to brush paint many parts, in particular you can tell you have painted the dash in this way - looks very streaky! Thin your paint more next time and these will flatten out as it dries - thats if u cant spray/airbrush???

The figures clothes are too glossy and look unnatural, you can rectify this with some matt varnish or clear coat.

Something you could have tried is lowering the suspension slightly on one side to give the impression of body-roll as it slides around the bend.

Excellent work darrenj, you did great improvements since the BT50 diorama.
I'm real curious to see how your F2000 one will turn out.

Well yesssss.... I have that in mind it has about 70 percent more to do ( full engine wiring)
But GUESS what, bouyed by my last creation and the positive response from you guys, I went out and bought the 1999 Safari rally winning Ford Focus (my girfriend is NOT amused)
I have envisioned a garage scene with.. the car on jacks, doors open and bonnet revealing engine details, dust and grvel every where, mechanics scrambling around changing body parts and shock mounts while Colin Mcrea is in the corner talking to a mechanic sleevs rolled up hands on hips and a wet towel around his neck
whattay think???

i think you're getting WAAY into it......and that is NOT a bad thing. That's a lot of detail and i think it's a pretty damn cool idea. You can totally envision it. I like the hands on hips and towel around neck thing. It's pretty cool.....i hope you go for it

Trying to be more exigent in every new project. :)
The overall scene for the Ford diorama looks perfect for me.
I especially admire the work of people that try to do something different and explore new steps in the modelling art unlike a “straight from the box” guy like me.
