well, i don't think my v-tec has been working so a buddy of mine got his P28 ecu and hooked it up to see it would make a different... its reved a little higher but as soon as i turn the car on the check engine light came on and was on the whole time. and every time i stepped on the break the cruise control light came on....WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? then i put my P28 in the check engine light didn't come on at all or the cruise control...anybody have any ideas? should i just go to the junkyard and get a new wiring harness from a 92-95 Si hatchback/Ex coupe and a P28 ECU? i need some major help...anybody want to shot me some ideas

So does your friends ECU work fine in his car? Or was it just sitting around and he grabbed it? What do you mean it revved higher? Like his rev limiter was set higher? Are you getting a check engine light when your car should be going into vtec with your ecu?

ok, his ECU was just sitting around, the whole reason i didn't think the vtec was kicking in cuz it had a rev limit of 5500 RPM then the fuel would cut out, the check engine light only came on with his ECU and it was on the whole time the car was on...when his ECU was in it revved to 6250RPM but i still don't think the vtec kicked in cuz i hooked up a light to show me when it kicks in...any ideas?
