Buy a `99-`00 SI and drop the B18C1 engine in it (from the Integra type R).

...or better yet buy a teg for 15K.

But if you really want to do a swap, then a 2 door EX or DX will do the trick. You can drop in the B16A2 engine (from the SI), and if you have enough money, put in a decent turbo kit. The B16A2 engine alone gives you 160 HP, building it up with a decent turbo can probably give you in the vicinity of 200 - 230 HP.

Also, you probably want to upgrade to rear disc brakes too (for the added power), and consider lowering the suspension if money allows.

B18C1 is from Integra GSR... B18C5 is from Integra Type-R.

Even if you drop an ITR swap into an EM1 (99-00 Civic Si), you'll still be slow... I have a friend who has a full Type-R converted EM1, and my ITR will walk all over it, all day.

^ I agree.

But honestly, if I were trying to build a well rounded Civic, I'd go with EG. Not downing the EF's appearence, but I just like EGs better, personally.

EG Civic ~ 3000
B18C5 (I prefer the B20) ~ 2500 installed
Suspension Mods street/track ready ~ 1500
Rims of choice w/ tires ~ 1000
FI setup/ tuning ~ 4000
Goodies ~ 3000

15K well spent

Please tell me where you can get a B18C5 swap for $2,500... Please. ;)

And B20's great... If you're going to install oil squirters, balance the rotating assembly, and have those paper thin sleeves taken out, and put some beefier ones in.

Okay, so I'm a bit liberal with my pricing, work with me here:icon16: But the B20 can be done for 2500 without much hunting and dealing, if you aren't gettin charged for ignorance (aka "Yes, I'll gladly pay $3500 for that B16". I've seen it happen:disappoin )

As for the sleeves etc, I chalk that up to tuning/goodies... if he wants to give me some of that 15k, I'll be more exact :bigthumb:

I hear ya'.

Honestly, if I were going to spend $15,000 on a Civic, that I was planning on primarily drag racing... Here's exactly what I'd do, and what I plan on doing in the years to come:

-1992 Honda Civic CX Painted BMW Metallic Gold
-Fully Gutted
-Sparco Speed Racing Seats (Cheap, comfortable, do their job)
-Auto-Power 6-Point Roll Cage
-Sparco Harnesses
-Volk TE-37 14" Gold Wheels
-BFG t/a Drag Radial 235/55/14 Front
-Yokohama ES100 195/55/14 Rear
-Weld Knuckles
-Weld Wheels, Fat and Skinnies
-Hoosier 28" Drag Slicks

Suspension:
-Omni-Power Front Full Coilovers
-Omni-Power Rear Drag Coilovers
-Omni-Power LCAs
-Omni-Power Camber Kit F/R
-Type-R Sway Bars
-Prothane Bushing Kit
-Full-Race ProAm Traction Bar
-GSR/LS Brakes Front and Rear
-Earl's SS Brake Lines
-Type-R Brake Booster and Master Cylinder

Powertrain:
-F22B1 Bottom End
-Darton Sleeves
-Arias 9:1 Pistons
-Eagle Rods
-ACL Main and Rod Bearings
-Balanced Rotating Assembly
-H22 Oil Squirters
-Block Girdle
-ARP 9mm Rod Bolts
-ARP Head Studs
-Cometic 4-Layer Headgasket
-H22A Head
-RLZ Stage II
-Crower 402T Camshafts
-Crower Valves
-Crower Dual-Valvesprings
-Crower Titanium Retainers
-Silly SOHC Top Mount Manifold
-Garrett GT42 Turbocharger
-4" Downpipe
-Full-Race Intercooler
-TiAL 50mm BOV
-TiAL 42mm Wastegate
-Precision 1,000cc Injectors
-Stealthmode SS Feed/Return Lines
-VENOM Intake Manifold
-Tuned with Crome on 35psi on 116Octane
-JDM H22 LSD Transmission
-Exedy Stage IV Racing Clutch
-Exedy Lightweight Flywheel
-Raxle 1,000whp Titanium Axles
-Individual EGT Probes
-Innovate LT-1 Wideband System
-Fluidyne Radiator
-FAL Slim Fan

Car would have mosterous amounts of torque and hosepower... It would run 9 second passes with some good driving. And would be a "Highway Pull" monster. I plan on building this car in the years to come, I've already got a good start, I just need more money.

If you were building a car, for a more balanced, reliable, fun car... This is what I'd do, and what I hope to build one day:

-1995 Honda Civic Si painted Championship White

-35% Tint
-Integra Type-R CW Wheels
-Yokohama Advan 195/50/15
-Air Conditioning and Powersteering

Suspension:
-Integra Type-R 5-Lug Conversion
-Spoon 4-Pot Calipers
-Earls SS Brake Lines
-TEIN Flex Coilovers
-TEIN EDF
-Omni-Power Camber Kits F/R
-Eibach Sway Bars
-Prothane Bushing Kit
-Integra Type-R Front Upper Strut Tower Brace
-Spoon Front Lower Strut Tower Brace
-Spoon Rear Lower Strut Tower Brace
-Spoon Rear Upper Strut Tower Brace
-Full-Race ProStreet Traction Bar

Powertrain:
-DC5 Integra Type-R K20A Full Swap
-RMF Header
-TWM 50mm Individual Throttle Bodies
-RC Engineering 440cc Injectors
-Aeromotive FPR
-Hybrid Racing SS Lines
-Fluidyne Radiator
-FAL Slim Fan
-RLZ Custom Exhaust
-Integra Type-R Stock Muffler Straight Piped

That'd probably go over the $15,000 limit... But that'd be one SICK car. Road Course beast, and comfortable daily driver.

... Wow, I must be REALLY bored to sit down and type this. Anyway, that's what I'd do.

Buy a `99-`00 SI and drop the

Why waste the money on the EM1 platform, if you are just going to pull it all apart? Why not buy a base model DX, and save a few thousand?

ZedEX, why go through the hassle of putting squirters in a B20? We always cap our squirters off when we are building a motor. When it comes to a high performance motor, those little squirters are a liability, I would rather not deal with.

ZedEx, after you bought all that stuff for "performance" you won't have any money left for a giant wing and decals... ugh :disappoin

Oh... I thought you were using quotations to say that you didn't view them as performance parts... I was a bit confused.
