I have a 95 Chevy 1500 4x2 and when i cut the fan on, i get no air. The fan was working fine and all of a sudden i get nothing. I checked the htr/ac fuse and it wasn't blown. I checked the ac fuse under the hood which i know is for the ac but it wasn't blown. Last year, i know i replaced the resistor pack behind the glove compartment. The only thing i can think of is the blower motor might have quit. Is there anyway to check the motor? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Just when i get my AC working this summer, now this.

2 days ago, i got into my truck just to see if the fan would work. It cut on for about a split second and cut off. I started backing out the drveway and it cut back on and seems to be working for now. I think the control assembly is going bad because the open/close vent button isn't working properly. I have the vent on close and when i cut the fan off, it's in the open position meaning the LED isn't lit up. This hasn't happened before. However, it does go to the closed position when i cut it on which leads me to believe the problem is in the control assembly rather than the blower mototr or resistor pack. I could be wrong so if anybody has experienced this or know otherwise, feel free to let me know.

don't those trucks have a rehostat that controls the fan speeds...

you can "hot wire" the fan motor to see if it works... remove the wire that powers the fan motor... get a known good piece of wire and run 12 volts directly to the fan motor from the battery and see if the fan spins.... fan no work with hot-wire...then fan is bad.
