Ok woofersetc.com was out of the Orion 3002 but they sold me a 4002 instead...more power for less...but the Focal's peak at what the 4002 pushes constant...so my question is...what would be some good rear fill coax's that can handle 150 rms that are 6.5s...or maybe I could do like a super shallow mount 8 inch sub in the doors...don't know...but any suggestions?

lol, ya you can use the gain an give the Focals Just the right amount of power. Nice comeup on the amp by the way, Its always good to have a lil headroom.

Ok...well I read a gain setting tutorial and I still don't know exactly how to do the one for the DMM. Mainly I don't know how to use my DMM. So if I took the readings on my car and told you guys what they said...could you tell me how close I am? Also my amp is gonna be here Friday.

here is what i do:
turn the gain on the amp all the way down, have eq on head unit flat, play the most bass intesive song i have, turn the head unit up to the max i would ever listen to, then turn the amp up until i hear the subs stressing, then back it off a couple hairs.

Well this is gonna be for some components. I really don't wanna blow them.

Figure your output votage for the amp that will make the power you want.
V-sqrt(P*R), so if your doing 200watts@2ohms, youll need 20volts rms, 20V is the reading you will get on the DMM. Play a 1khz tone recorded at 0db, an turn your gain up untill you get the Voltage reading you want for your specific amp.

that's only for when you play a lot of electronic music with no headroom. If you are playing like "real" music, it doesn't mean that much - you can put 2-3 times the rated RMS power into them. The secret is setting the gain.

ya thats true, you wont be giving them full power all the time, an the Focals are nice speakers.

Yeah I know they are. I think I will be the only person in my town to have Focals...well, a set of non factory components...so yeah. I hate/love living in a small town. Ok and about that DMM it says it can run at 150 by 4 ohm or would it be the same if I tested it for 200 by 2 ohm.
