99 Eclipse Rag Top leaks

At the beginning of the summer i bought a 99 eclipse syder gs. It had 43k miles on it and never had seen salt, super clean, clean carfax.. couldn't resist. The only problem was a support link for the roof had bent and broke before i had bought the car, but the dealer agreed to fix it before I bought it. It was great never had owned a conv. before until the rain. The first time I rained long and hard I had a huge frown on my face. All the weather stripping held up fine but the roof is not water resistant what so ever. It soaked right through it!! I mean i don't mind a few drips here and there, that was expected but if it rains heavy for a long period of time my seats get soaked and just about everything else besides my dash. After fighting with the dealer about it, i decided i was getting now where. He was complaining about my trade how he had to invest money into it blah blah, the most BS ive heard in the longest time. After looking into the roof more, the inner linning is tore up in multiple places.

Is there any product on the market that you can recommend for rag top roofs that help restore them and make them water resistant again. After doing some research i see a number of products although im not sure what i should get. I only know that i should stay away from silicone based products. The only other solution really is getting a new roof which is costly, I haven't called around of estimates but if you know how much it would cost for a replacement please tell me, i hope its not over $1,500, with such low miles replacing the roof may be an option

Replacing the top is just about your only option...
