miss firing harley

I got a 97 harley road king fuel injected and sometimes when it will just start missing after I have criused at the same speed for a bit and then stop at a light, it will rev up a bit and then when I give it gas it acts like it is hitting a rev limiter and after a bit it will get back to normal. I put it in a shop and they did find bad intake gaskets and sold me a bunch of othe after market stuff to make it run faster but all I want is for it to run. Any ideas where to start?
