t5 transmission

while looking for a transmission, i ran into the t5, which has been used both with ford and chevy. How compatable are the models?

t5 sucks, 3rd goes out on them if you have some power.

i have a 1996 mustang with a t5 transmission and am looking into a chevy engine for it. Chevy engines beat ford all day.

lol, you have one thing right!! so what you want to know about the tranny?

the engine is a 305 but will have a xram 350 crossfire intake and 350 headers, any possibility that this engine can be bolted to this tranny?

what year 305? if it is the 82-02 then i know it will.

83 or 84, will bolt up to 96 stang t5?

oh a stang, now that i don't know. check the bolts on your t5 bellhousing and see if it is the same as the motor.

no problem, someone else might see this tread and know that answer, but i don't your best bet is to do what i said.

or get a doner T5/T56 off a f-body.. just to make sure :D
