stumped

I have just finished putting synthetic oil, transmission fluid in my car. Put in green filter. changed fuel filter. Have replaced in the last year starter, alternator, battery, plugs, plug wires, dist cap. Now all of a sudden, while driving the car stops "feeding" gas to the engine as if cutting out, but it does not die. If I put it in park and wait a min or pump the gas it will start going again. I have replaced every electric engine component except the fuel pump, but like I said it does not die out. Only stops feeding fuel to the engine. I would appreciate any help.:banghead:

Time for a new fuel pump. It's probably just starting to die out on you. How many miles? What year? You said it works after you pump gas... is your fuel gauge busted?

If the fuel pressure is dropping then it is probably the fuel pump. I would check the fuel pressure regulator first as it may have a hole developing in the diaphram that is causing the issue. Cheaper and easier than the fuel pump. Although it very easily could be the fuel pump itself.

Yup! fuel pump. When pump electronics get hot they cut out. Given time when parked the electronics cool down, or when gas is pumped, the gas itself keeps it cool. replace pump... it will fail sooner or later.
