Hi guys. I've run into a snag right in the middle of my head gasket job. Does anybody know how to remove the alternator bracket from the r/s head on the LT1 Caprice? I'm sure I've removed everything else but the @#$! head refuses to come off. :banghead: Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks

You won't need to remove your timing cover, but you will need to remove the bracket for the accessories on the RH side. The AC compressor can remain in place.

Thanks for getting back so quickly, Blue.
That's the problem I seem to be having.....removing the alternator/Idler bracket. Is there another bolt hiding in there or something? I'm afraid to really reef on the head as the bracket is aluminum. Maybe it's just stubborn, I don't know.
What I do know is that the engine was really neglected before I bought the car. Everything under the hood either is siezed or rusted, but the engine ran good...that is until I decided to change the plugs and snapped 2 off in the head :disappoin
Cheers
