88 Grand Caravan Shifting Problem (Still)

I have an intermittent shifting problem. Sometimes it shifts up/down, just fine. Other times, it stays in 2nd gear, no matter what the speed. It will stay stuck, even when stopped. I don't do much freeway driving, just daily city driving. I've heard of a "learning" feature, in the computer, that governs shifting, based on driving habits. I'm wondering if this might be part of the problem.

After being parked for any length of time, I'll start it, shift into Drive and it will act as though it's in Neutral. If I hold the accelerator at any point above 4K RPM, it will eventually "Kick in" and I finally go forward. After driving for awhile (stuck in 2nd) I can stop, shift to Park, turn off the key, start back up, shift to Drive and it will shift normally, for awhile.

I've read (here) about the grounding issues @ the trans & solenoid... also the 3-wire splice problem. Wondering if this might be contributing?

I'm just gonna go with your transmission on this problem. My girlfriend had almost the exact same problem. I think you're looking at buying another transmission. If you're lucky it might be fixable, if you're lucky.
