Where can I find PE exterior door handles. Specifically for a 1969 Camaro and 1969-70 Dodge Charger Daytona.

Thanks.

http://www.modelcargarage.com makes photoetch sets for many of the muscle car/pony car era cars.

Model Car Garage doesn't have PE "exterior" handles for such cars as far as I know.

Scale Equipment Ltd http://www.seltd.net/24801cp.html has GM style and Owencraft sells metal handles. I don't offhand knows who sells Owencraft but here's a link to his site http://www.opalsinthebag.com/Owencraft/

Actually, depending on the set, some of modelcargarage's sets include photo etch door handles. They may not be sold separately, but if you're considering buying the whole set anyhow, they're there.

I appreciate the help guys. I may consider buying the set as I would also like to have the Camaro scripts as well, but I was hoping for just the door handles and the scripts themselves.

I was thinking by exterior door handles it was meant on the outside of the car. The 69 Camaro PE set from MCG has this on it:

and the 69 Dodge Charger:

and the 71 Dodge Charger:

Gerry,
You are correct. Exterior door handles are what I am after. Looks like I may get the PE parts from MCG. A little more than I need at this point, but if thats it, so be it.

Just to be concise. The PE sets are nice. I don't have the Dodge, since I’m not much of a MOPAR fan. I do have the Camaro PE set.

But the PE sets don’t have exterior door handles, as you can see in the above post. If you have the Revell 69 Camaro, it comes with separate exterior chromed door handles. The AMT kit does not. Can’t tell you anything about the Dodge, though.

So, for exterior door handles, assuming they’re not in the kit as separates, you’d have to go with SEL or Owencraft.

Ok I got it.
I have the Revell Yenko kit. Thanks for clearing that up.

A trick on the Revell kit with the separate exterior door handles is to use a technique similar to gluing on mirrors with no mounting pin.

Drill into the rear part of the handle, where the door button is and glue in a pin (wire, thin plastic, etc). Drill a corresponding hole in the door where there is a mounting reference (small half rectangle extrusion).

This will give you a positive mounting point and not have to worry about the reference disappearing beneath a couple of layers of paint

Sounds good to me.

Thanks
